POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Ph.D. Program in Urban Higher Education in the College of Education and Human Development is seeking applications for its Associate/Full Professor position.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

Terminal Degree in Research Methods with preference in Social Behavior .

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least six to seven (6-7) years of experience in advising doctoral students dissertations and serving on dissertation committees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Established record of outstanding university teaching and guiding students through dissertation.
• Teaching experience at a college or university and a record of publications in referred journals.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to teach courses such as Introductory and Advanced Qualitative Methods in Education, Action Research, Case Study, Visual Research, Discourse Analysis, and Ethics, among others.
• Active research agenda.
• Ability to develop and teach graduate courses in qualitative research methodology and related areas delivered in face-to-face, online, and/or blended format.
• Ability to teach diverse student populations.

• Teaching Load of three (3) classes per year.
• Advise doctoral students in higher education research concepts.
• Serve on dissertation committees grounded in qualitative research methods.
• Support strategic initiatives across the school and campus and contribute to the ongoing development of the EPh.D. graduate program.
• Engage in research and publications (maintain an ongoing program of research and publication). Participation in program events such as Orientation, Graduation , Student Celebrations, Faculty/Staff Retreats, and other general events.
• Actively recruit graduate students.
• Provide service to the university and profession.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
