Summary

As an Associate Software Development Engineer in the Work Automation team, you will be designing and developing high-quality software to deliver key features of the Product roadmaps. We have two associate software engineer positions available for this team.

Genesys Software Engineers think through implementation details of scale, security, and usability. We write code in Java, Python and Angular. We use many AWS technologies.
Location: For this position, we are considering candidates who are willing to work onsite in our Galway office on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and testing high-quality, efficient software to implement key product features.
- Participate in the implementation cycle, supporting tasks through Testing, Deployment, Maintenance phases.
- Gain an understanding of the overall system architecture and the broader ecosystem.
- Actively participate in team code reviews to ensure quality and promote collaborative learning.
- Adhere to established processes for data security, traceability, and information sharing.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and work effectively in a collaboratively globally distributed team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines. Master’s degree (MSc) in these disciplines is a valuable addition.
- Excellent programming skills, particularly in Java, Python or Angular
- Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming & design.
- Proactive, self-driven, and possessing a growth mindset.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of AWS technologies.
- Experience of CI/CD processes and using technologies like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Experience of developing REST API’s.
- Understanding of Microservices architecture principles and best practices.
