To strengthen our team, we are seeking an Associate General Counsel (m/f/d) for a remote position. In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President General Counsel.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from a recognized European or international institution
- Active and in good standing with a European bar or legal association
- Deep understanding of EU laws and regulations, including GDPR, competition law and employment law
- Strong knowledge of European Union laws, location jurisdictional regulations and the ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment
- 7+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong preference for candidates with both in-house and law firm experience
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, litigation, employment law, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in managing and resolving complex legal issues and disputes
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Provide ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in additional European languages (e.g. German, French) highly desirable

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and guidance on a broad range of corporate matters including compliance, contracts, litigation, labor and employment, regulatory issues, and corporate governance.
- Collaborate with various departments and senior management to ensure that the company’s legal and regulatory interests are protected.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including commercial and supplier agreements.
- Advise on data privacy compliance, ensuring adherence to General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable privacy regulations.
- Provide legal counsel on matters related to global trade compliance, including import/export regulations, sanctions, customs law and trade agreements and day-to-day legal advice to Industrial business segment.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, including due diligence and risk assessment.
- Oversee and manage litigation matters and dispute, working with external counsel as necessary.
- Advice on corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance issues, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage employment law matters, including internal investigations, employee relations and compliance with labor regulations and work councils.
- Assist with intellectual property matters, including the protection of patents, trademarks and copyrights.
- Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to support the company’s growth and operations.
