Description:

Under direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) of the Contracts Office, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) analyzes and coordinates the development of contracts for the department. The AGPA provides necessary oversight, evaluation, technical support and process a range of different types of contracts including, Interagency, Local Assistance, and service.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS (SOQ)

Interested individuals must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) in addition to the standard state application (form STD 678). Your SOQ will be considered the first interview for this position. If your qualifications are competitive, you will be invited to a formal interview. Resumes, cover letters, or any other documents cannot substitute the SOQ. When completing the SOQ, number your responses, include all relevant experience, education, and training, as applicable, and explain all answers thoroughly. Your SOQ should not exceed two pages, single-spaced, Arial 12-point font and address the following:

  • Describe your experience, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the duties and responsibilities of this position on the applicable duty statement. Please include similar or relative experience in, but not limited to, contract administration, loan and grants, formal and informal solicitations, exempt contracts, standard contracting documents, contract execution, and State or Federal regulations and policies. Experience used must be reflected on your application.
  • Describe your ability and experience in handling a heavy workload with multiple competing priorities with similar due dates, by providing a list of overall steps you take to ensure deadlines are met. Then provide one specific example of how you used the steps and were successful in managing the competing priorities and meeting all deadlines.
