The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) will be hiring for a Public Participation Specialist position in the Office of Environmental Equity (OEE) Berkeley to provide public involvement and outreach support for disadvantaged and marginalized California communities. In this position you will facilitate effective and timely communication between the public and DTSC, work collaboratively with and in California’s diverse communities, represent DTSC at public meetings and forums, design and implement comprehensive public outreach and engagement strategies, approaches and initiatives, function as a member of various departmental projects and strategic teams, and assess translation and language services needed for outreach and engagement based on demographic data.
