Description:
To perform rapid molecular based testing including respiratory virus testing using SAMBA instruments and biological safety cabinet. To follow laboratory standard operating procedures. Participate in a 24/7 shift pattern to perform molecular testing using rapid testing platforms Document and communicate patient results both via telephone and electronically using the Pathology Laboratorty Informaion Sytem (LIMS) and EPR Sunrise Use knowledge and skills to troubleshoot equipment and minimise service downtime. To undertake general house-keeping as specified in the SOPs including environmental monitoring, temperature monitoring and batch acceptance testing.
To be involved in the verification of new equipment and support the PoCT team
