KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Oversees CMBC P-files and associated processes, reviews requests for access and take necessary actions for access grant where appropriate, takes the lead and collaborates with Human Resources Coordinator regarding all p-file related tasks at CMBC.
Supports the HR Services team in the design, development and rollout of employee programs, tools, templates and resource materials to be delivered in a variety of formats and assists with or delivers training sessions as required.
Works in partnership with other HR areas in collecting, tracking and summarizing critical HR metrics, including analyzing trends and providing recommendations for changes to programs and initiatives. Compiles various reports highlighting key trends and providing recommendations for changes to programs and initiatives.
Supports the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) team in implementing and maintaining programs and processes in employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, Compensation, HR metrics/reporting, organization design, employee engagement, labour relations, change management, learning and career development and succession planning.
Supports HRBP to ensure effective delivery of core HR people practices and programs to client groups.
Under the guidance of HRBP, liaise with client groups to resolve employee relations issues, including consistent interpretation and application of legislation, policies, programs and other regulatory requirements.
Proactively investigates and identifies needs and shares recommendations for improvement for programs and initiatives related to the delivery of HR Services. Prepares information and data for reports and work plans.
Participates and supports in implementing organizational change initiatives and participates in cross-functional teams and projects as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The requirements for this job are acquired through a university degree in Human Resources or a related field plus four (4) years of experience in employee relations initiatives and programs with large public and/or private organizations. Working towards a professional Human Resources designation (CPHR) is preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Strong knowledge of theory, practices and strategy related to Human Resources functions such as performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning, effective employee communications and change management.
Solid knowledge of the relevant policies, labour law, employment standards and other regulatory requirements as well as the provisions of the collective agreement.
Strong consulting, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide general HR advice to stakeholders.
Solid relationship-building skills with the ability to develop critical partnerships with business leaders and employees, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary context.
Solid business acumen with the ability to develop a deep understanding of business functions, strategies, and objectives.
Solid project and change management skills to manage multi-disciplinary initiatives and facilitate implementation and related change.
Solid planning skills to develop HR plans in alignment with business objectives.
Solid organizational and time management skills to effectively deliver HR expertise and services to diverse clients.
Working knowledge of the relevant HR systems and modules and standard office applications.
