BACKGROUND CHECK AND FINGERPRINTING REQUIRED.

Under the direction of the Supervising Insurance Compliance Officer of the SIU Compliance Unit, the incumbent will apply specialized regulatory techniques and procedures; compliance standards; and insurance codes, rules, regulations to conduct confidential and comprehensive reviews of insurance company Special Investigative Units, to determine their compliance with applicable regulations and statutes. The incumbent will work with various Enforcement Branch staff and Department resources to obtain examination information, analyze multiple sources of data, and prepare written reports, charts, graphs, and/or conduct oral presentations of findings to insurers and Enforcement Branch management. Moderate travel via private or public transportation (i.e. automobile, airplane, etc.) up to 25% is required, including overnight travel both inside and outside California
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
