EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduation of June 2025 or within past 3 years from a university degree, community college diploma, or technical diploma in Computer Studies, or have relevant working experience in the computer service field;
  • Must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position may be required to provide off hours and weekend on call support;
  • Must have experience working with hardware and software (Microsoft applications, Windows 10 / 11 operating system, etc.);
  • Requires a sound knowledge of desktop equipment including hardware, software products and related applications;
  • Must possess good technical knowledge and a strong customer service focus, to showcase excellent customer service and customer relation skills;
  • Must possess good analytical, problem solving, organization, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and administrative skills;
  • Ability to maintain positive work and customer relationships, and be a team player.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to either a Manager or a Senior within the IT Services department, the Associate IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the organization’s IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks. They provide technical support to users, resolve issues, ensure system performance, and assist in the deployment of new technologies. The incumbent also provides first-line technical and hotline support for computer hardware and software, including incident identification, triage, tracking, resolution, and follow-up to maintain service levels. This role encompasses various technician functions within Server Technology, Network Services, End User Devices, and Service Desk sections, offering exposure to multiple IT operations areas and career paths. As part of TTC’s Early Talent Program, this position offers recent graduates an opportunity to launch their careers through hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development, fostering continuous learning and growth.
