You will be responsible to::

  • The series of investigative activities to improve existing products and services or to lead to the development of new products and services for Hovione or for our client base. It may result in ownership of intellectual property such as patents. It is the key driving force of innovation and science in the organization, managing new ideas and innovation across the company.
  • Conduct routine tasks with regular supervision
  • Operate basic equipment and/or machinery
  • Follow detailed instructions
  • Resolve routine queries, issues or circumstances and report non-routine task to others
  • Perform and record laboratory experiments and undertake processing activities related to the development and improvement of processes, providing support to the activities of the relevant area of the business
  • Rigorously, accurately, efficiently and professionally execute all fully standardized laboratory activities in accordance with applicable industry and operational standards / procedures and legal regulations and following instructions received from ascending colleagues • Be an advocate for safe operating and high-quality performance, alerting colleagues to any potential risks and suggesting optimizations or improvements
  • Develop and accumulate laboratory technical expertise
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in laboratory methodologies and practices
  • Provide an example of professionalism
  • Carry out laboratory experiments including equipment assembly, material dispensing, execution, recording and cleaning
  • Take responsibility for all data individually generated and deliver all activities in accordance with Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations, adhering to all relevant Hovione Operating Procedures and industry standards

We are looking to recruit a Candidate::

  • Basic experience in laboratory work practice (preferable)
  • Full secondary school qualifications or equivalent (mandatory) and vocational qualification in a relevant chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronics, mechatronics, pharmaceutical-related or other science-related field (highly desirable)
  • Numerical capability for simple arithmetic
  • Computer literate
  • Clear and open communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Competent (written and verbal) English (desirable)
