Responsibilities:

  • Handling all aspects of litigated matters, with the mentorship of senior counsel
  • Independently handling examinations for discovery, mediations and motions
  • Supporting senior counsel on complex matters
  • Practice and client management and contact
  • Business development and professional profile enhancement
  • Meeting billable and non-billable targets
  • People/team leadership, mentorship and managemen

What will help you succeed in this role?:

  • Legally entitled to practice law in Canada
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • At least 1 year of civil litigation experience
  • Excellent English oral and written skills and communication ability
  • Strong organization and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a busy practice alongside Legal Assistants and Clerk
