Associate Lecturer - BUS1SBY Sustainability (HE7)

SIM-LTU is looking for associates who are dedicated, highly-motivated and possess a strong passion for teaching and shaping the minds of the young generation. Candidates must be able to handle a big size class, deliver the course content in a 3-hour lecture format on a weekly basis, and manage assessment marking within a given deadline. They will work closely with the course coordinator based in the partner university to achieve the desired students’ outcome.
Appointed lecturers will receive ample opportunities to attend program-specific training in teaching pedagogy, individual domain areas and educational technology, as well as cross-disciplinary and customised professional development activities.
Module: BUS1SBY Sustainability
This course introduces the students to the concept of sustainability, and a systems approach to understanding the complex interactions between the environmental, economic and social dimensions of sustainability. Students are required to critically evaluate the stakeholder management and sustainability efforts of large business corporations across the world. Students will develop ability to research, critically evaluate and communicate effectively through discussion questions, tutorial presentation, and written assessments. This course is conducted through 7 weekly lectures and upon completion of this course, students will be able to critically evaluate strategic decision-making processes and the development of an events portfolio or program.
Classes are mostly conducted during the day between 8:30am to 6:30pm

Job Requirements

• Possess a Master’s Degree or professional qualification in the relevant discipline
• Have at least 5 years of related working experience
• Have at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level
