Role Designation: Associate Legal Counsel (EMEA Employment Law)
Location: UK

We are looking for a junior employment lawyer (Associate Legal Counsel), looking to take their legal career in-house in the technology sector, to join our high calibre and friendly EMEA employment law team based in Canary Wharf, London, UK. You can be based outside of London, but you should be able to commute to the Canary Wharf office, London, from time to time as required. You will work with the EMEA employment law team as well as the wider global employment law team on the full life cycle of employment law matters including but not limited to:

  • Conducting employment law research using various online resources and databases.
  • Drafting and preparing legal, policy, procedural, and administrative documentation.
  • Assisting in the creation of guidance documents and managing version control.
  • Preparing drafts of memos, meeting minutes, witness interview notes, instructions to counsel, reports, and updates on employment law developments.
  • Supporting the collection of employee-related data from HR, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders across the Company.
  • Contributing to knowledge retention within the EMEA and the wider Infosys Legal Department.
  • Aiding in the development and delivery of internal training initiatives.
  • Assisting with case budgeting and billing requirements, including obtaining fee quotes from external counsel, raising purchase orders (POs), and reviewing draft invoices for approval.
  • Helping with drafting, issuing, and tracking Litigation Holds.
  • Managing and tracking various team projects and assisting with monthly reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, or completion of the Graduate Diploma in Law
  • Prior experience as a lawyer
  • Excellent working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Experience using the full Office365 suite would be preferable

Desirable:

  • Completion of the Legal Practise Course or a recognised Paralegal certification
  • Experience using Legal Tracker, by Thompson Reuters, or other comparable case management software
  • Experience using Practical Law and/or WestLaw, by Thompson Reuters, or other comparable legal research databases
  • In-house legal experience.
