Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$57,750 - $129,800

This position is in Manufacturing Procurement on the Global Logistics Procurement team. The role supports the Global Supply Chain Organization through sourcing of transportation, warehousing, and related services for the global manufacturing sites as well as the distribution nodes. The role serves as a business partner to Manufacturing clients including other functions such as Finance, Quality, and Risk Management across Lilly to minimize supply risk and ensure competitive product and service costs with our vendors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business-related field, OR High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement finance, or manufacturing related areas.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience working with global suppliers.
  • Category management experience valued at $200M+.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite & SAP/Ariba.
  • Experience implementing service levels and key performance indicators.
  • Proven skills in handling global third-party relationships.
  • Expertise in running multiple projects simultaneously, with a proven track record of successful project completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead sourcing of transportation, warehousing, and related services for global manufacturing sites and distribution nodes.
  • Lead the sourcing process from strategy development and supplier selection through contract negotiations and ongoing relationship management.
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts to minimize costs and risks while ensuring supply continuity.
  • Collaborate with business clients to qualify suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
  • Identify and implement cost/risk reduction initiatives small business goals.
  • Build and maintain category expertise for spend categories by assessing the current situation, future needs, marketplace dynamics and benchmarking
