Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Team, we are looking enhance our technical capabilities and are seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer- Nuclear Energy, to join our team. This role offers the chance to participate in multi-disciplinary projects at various stages of the lifecycle, from client consultancy to comprehensive turn-key solutions. You will have the vision, passion and track record required to continue the growth of our mechanical engineering offering, being involved in business development, as well as an engineering design role.
You will lead the continued development of a strong team to whom you will provide leadership and robust management. In this high-profile role, you will be the first point of direct contact with clients, partners, and contractors. You will over-see key projects from concept to delivery including design, procurement, subcontract, factory acceptance, installation, site acceptance and commissioning.
This role is ideal for an experienced Nuclear Mechanical Engineer, offering you the chance to work on a variety of the highest profile, short and long-term projects within the sector, and being involved and overseeing the full project cycle end-to-end.

READY TO PUSH THE LIMITS OF WHAT’S POSSIBLE?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in a position heavily focused on design-related tasks within the nuclear sector, covering both new construction and decommissioning projects.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to offer strategic advice and influence other engineers in defining, implementing, and completing engineering work packages.
  • Project Delivery: A track record of successful project delivery, including overseeing the full project cycle end-to-end.
  • Business Development: Capability to lead and drive business development efforts.
  • Technical Competence: Familiarity with European and American Standards, and comprehensive experience post-Charter in positions demanding thorough engineering knowledge of applicable practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Communication: Competence in preparing and delivering technical presentations and conducting peer reviews of technical documents.

You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Mechanical Engineering Degree at Master’s or PhD level, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with MechE or a similar institution.
