We are currently recruiting an Associate Solicitor for our Medical Law team.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should demonstrate some, if not all, the following attributes:
- 0-3 years post qualification experience in clinical negligence defense;
- Experience in healthcare and life science advisory work will be an advantage;
- Candidate should be capable of managing a demanding portfolio of cases, have demonstrable interpersonal skills and ability to contribute as a team member:
- A strong work ethic and flexible approach to work.
Responsibilities:
This role will see the successful candidate provide advice, assistance and representation to a range of our healthcare clients. Most particularly, they will defend the interests of hospitals, practitioners and laboratory service providers in medical negligence litigation before the Circuit, High and Supreme Courts. They will also liaise closely with medical and nursing practitioners and clients in establishing the relevant facts, and advising on the most effective and efficient mechanism to manage and resolve claims. They will also advise clients on clinical governance, risk management strategies, regulatory compliance and accreditation, professional discipline and general medico-legal advice. They will have an understanding of and passion for medicine and healthcare law, along with the ambition to deliver best in class legal advice and assistance to clients, along with the ambition to thrive within a high performing team.
