We are seeking an Associate Mobile Engineer specializing in Android to join our dynamic team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 0-2 years of experience in mobile development
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Proficiency in Java and Kotlin
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Comfortable with continuous integration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop and solve problems within Android applications
  • Proactively engage with peers across the organization to share knowledge and solve issues
  • Develop and test standard Android software applications and related programs
  • Apply software design principles and computer science fundamentals to write clean, maintainable, and optimized code
  • Utilize database design knowledge to fulfill data requirements
  • Help coordinate stakeholder input when developing solutions
  • Understand and apply policies and processes where standardization is required
  • Complete tasks and provide data to support implementation of comprehensive solutions
  • Report on current work status and participate in team meetings
  • Challenge existing processes and suggest improvements when necessary
