Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring consistency and continuity of care.
• Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including staffing, recruitment, performance management, and rostering.
• Promote practice improvements and assist with the implementation of changes within the unit.
• Mentor and guide less experienced nursing staff and students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Help manage financial, supply, and resource planning to ensure smooth running of services.

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience, or currently a Clinical Nurse.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in supervising staff and students.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing issues.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
