YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
• Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing
• Recent acute adolescent mental health in-patient experience is desirable

This is a Part Time Ongoing positon at 60 hours p/fortnight within the Banksia, Mental Health Ward. In this role you will collaborate with the Unit Manager by providing advanced leadership, support and guidance to the Banksia Ward. This includes ensuring clinical practice and delivery of care, reflects contemporary, trauma informed engagement with young people and families. You will have delegated responsibility from the Nurse Unit Manager to provide management and leadership to staff, ensuring clinical practice is consistent with RCH expectations of ‘Great Care’ and Australian Nurses and Midwifery Council standards. You will be required to rotate through all shifts- AM, PM and Night Duty, and are responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, safe and evidence-based nursing practice to facilitate optimal health outcomes for all patients.
