Psychology in Mind Ltd, established in 2007, is a provider of psychological, psychotherapeutic, and mental health nursing services. In collaboration with one of our valued clients, Precious, we are expanding our offerings to include Occupational Therapy across their three regions: the Midlands, Central (encompassing Milton Keynes and Peterborough), and London.
To support this partnership, Psychology in Mind Ltd is seeking an experienced Associate Occupational Therapists to work closely with Precious’ clinical team.
This role involves working 7.5 hours per week within your selected region, with travel between sites counted as part of the working hours. Compensation ranges from £24 to £27 per hour, based on experience, and the position operates outside the IR35 framework.
Precious, has more than 25 years of experience in the care industry and is an award-winning provider of support services for autistic adults and/or adults with learning disabilities.
With residential and supported living services located throughout England, they have a strong emphasis on achieving positive outcomes and helping people to achieve their goals and live happy lives.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE ITSELF

The overall purpose of the roles is to support individuals supported within an identified caseload, managed through a referral and discharge triage process, promoting health and wellbeing through supporting people to maintain and increase their functional independence in daily life, while preventing or minimising disability through an evidence-based practice. The role has responsibility for supporting our client (Precious) with ensuring aspects around health and safety, through completion of audits and leading on falls prevention, and providing support to service teams through training and reflective practice supervisions and supporting aspects of service development, ensuring capable safe environments through specialist assessment and adaptations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to relevant legislation and regulations, such as CQC, health and social care standards, data protection law, health and safety law, etc., and follow best practice guidance and HCPC standards of conduct, performance, and ethics. Lead on Falls prevention and mobility equipment to ensure health and safety of all staff and individuals supported.
  • Deliver specialist training and provide learning opportunities within the team and for student placements
  • Review, write and contribute to policies and procedures for Occupational Therapy related areas and competencies.
    The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
