Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Aircraft Painter (Associate or Experienced) to support the 787 Program based out of North Charleston, SC on a Variable Shift.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Must be willing to work any shift assigned, including overtime.
- 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting.
- Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Aircraft paint experience.
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate (Level B): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Experienced (Level C): Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting.
- Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft.
- Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections.
