We are seeking an individual with initiative, creativity, and the ability to work with sound independent judgment to support contract administration. The successful candidate will have experience working with contract management software and under minimum supervision.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Review purchase orders, and process contract amendments, close-outs, and other documents (bonds, insurance, contract assembly, etc.).
- Prepare, submit, and maintain company contractor and engineering licenses.
- Prepare, distribute, reconcile, and respond to internal departmental budgets relative to fiscal year forecasts and plans.
- Organize and maintain legal department files including uploading and tracking document expiration dates.
- Collect, organize, and maintain financial and other data, including company confidential and proprietary information, required in preparation of law department reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Coordinate insurance matters with the corporate risk manager including claims, certificates of insurance, and annual insurance renewals.
- Perform special assignments and projects as directed by the General Counsel.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year business degree preferred
- Experience in a legal assistant/paralegal/contract specialist role a plus.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database applications; Lotus Notes experience a plus.
- Professional and confident demeanor.
- Organized and able to multi-task while meeting the demands of several concurrent responsibilities.
- Superior writing and communication skills and attention to detail are required.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
