Description:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT WILL LEAD TO SUCCESS

  • 12 + years of direct experience in a financial / investment consulting environment,
  • Experience working with institutional clients, especially handling a block of clients and client teams;
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical decision-making, and skills in developing solutions for complex clients/business issues;
  • Able to understand the short-term/long-term needs of clients; capable of identifying business development opportunities to effectively close consulting assignments;
  • Embraces creative spirit in work by recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to help with the growth and expansion of the organization;
  • Ability to establish self as a trusted leader/advisor. Demonstrates strong client-facing skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, and information and to respond promptly and effectively to all inquiries;
  • Detail and results-orientated; able to work independently on diverse projects, able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced; high-pressure environment and meet project timelines;
  • A teammate who can work with various types of individuals;
  • Technical expertise and proven track record to remain current concerning investment industry trends, activity in the market, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes;
  • Planning and organizational skills through experiences; ability to effectively coordinate the delivery of projects and advisory services;
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Must be persuasive, forward-thinking, progressive, energetic, and focused;
  • Analytical skills; accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Requires substantial travel to service clients

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance, Actuarial Science or Commerce or a related field, or equivalent years of experience; and
  • Dedication to professional development. Completion of an MBA or CFA is preferred.
