Description:

The successful applicant will be working directly with portfolio managers and analysts in the team, becoming familiar with the investment processes of various equity strategies under management. The group is primarily focused on rules-based equity strategies implemented through a variety of investment vehicles such as Separately Managed Accounts, ETFs and Mutual Funds. The applicant will be expected to gain proficiency in our proprietary rules-based investment approach, but initial responsibilities will be centered on portfolio management duties and process improvements. Over time, upon mastery of the investment processes and team success in the market, the role will generate additional opportunities to collaborate with professionals across various discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The applicant will be working with Sr. Portfolio Managers in implementing the portfolio strategy and process
  • The applicant will be responsible for monitoring portfolio risks and daily events, and rebalance portfolios through our proprietary systems, in order to deliver the stated investment mandates
  • The applicant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing various reports and data sets for external clients and internal partners.
  • The applicant will be responsible for testing new portfolio management tools, procedures, and processes. Over time we expect the applicant to lead such activities.
  • Over time, the applicant will assume more responsibilities and will coordinate with internal departments and external vendors
  • Over time, the applicant will be responsible for becoming proficient in the team’s portfolio management research applications and quantitative tools.
  • Over time, the applicant will be responsible for managing projects, proactively seeking solutions and driving programming development that can improve process efficiency and portfolio outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree that demonstrates intellectual ability and rigor.
  • A comfort level with quantitative tools with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Established and demonstrated work ethic and willingness to invest in their careers.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with an ability to take initiative.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Python or .NET Core, macro implementation and VBA or the equivalent.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL, R, Jupyter Notebook Perl, and/or C/C+ programming.
  • he ability to integrate and function effectively on a team that places clients first and is dedicated to sustaining excellence.
  • An ability to focus and pay attention to detail in a long-term sustainable manner.
