Competitive Total Compensation Range: $90-$100K annually depending on experience & credentials (inclusive of base salary and monthly discretionary performance-based bonuses).

Stenner Wealth Partners+ (SWP+) is an award-winning team of financial/wealth specialists at CG Wealth Management. With a boutique approach and global perspective, SWP+ is a highly exclusive practice servicing Canadian and US investors/households with generally a minimum of 10M+ in investable assets or 25M+ net worth. It is a cross border Canadian/US licensed team with our CG offices located in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
SWP+ clients range in net worth from $25M CAD to $2.5B+ and we strategically onboard 6-8 new key client relationships every year. It is very important for us to provide a superior client experience. Our customized client service plan ensures we proactively connect with each client over 25-50 times a year through email, Zoom calls, in person meetings, reviews, research, phone calls, etc.

Responsibilities (Time Allotted %):

SWP+ PM/Analyst Team (60%);

  • Work on a 6 person investment committee overseeing two portfolio models
  • Monitor and maintain proprietary model portfolios daily
  • Monitor security prices for entry and exit levels
  • Invest incoming client funds and rebalance existing portfolios into model portfolios
  • Evaluation of equity, fixed income, real estate, private asset, and alternative investments
  • Sourcing of investment ideas and effective presentation of their potential to the Investment Committee
  • Monitor economic and market conditions and provide both insight and opinion to the team and clients
  • Execute equity, fixed income, and fx trades

Presentation of Investment Related Materials and Strategies (20%);

  • Create economic and market related and provide both insight and opinion to the team and clients
  • Write weekly, monthly, quarterly investment related content
  • Update monthly portfolio statistics and related content
  • Propose new client-centric solutions with respect to ongoing communications
  • Present potentially profitable investment opportunities to clients
  • Able to respond to client market enquiries effectively
  • Well-balanced view of current market and economic landscape
  • Correspond with clients regarding trades, portfolio activity, and market events

Client Portfolio Reviews (20%);

  • Create / conduct client portfolio reviews and present sophisticated investment solutions
  • Coordinate, schedule, execute follow-ups derived from Portfolio Reviews
  • Regular client and prospect communication
  • Clear, articulate, communication to clients and prospects via e-mail, video conference, and phone calls

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully fluent in English;
  • Proficiency in other languages a plus
  • Able to legally work in Canada;
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in the financial services industry;
  • Wealth Management, Business Development, Banking, Corporate Finance, Accounting, or similar.
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in associate discretionary portfolio management role or higher;
  • CFA required, CFP, CPA, MBA, CIM or similar professional designation is a plus;
  • IIROC-licensed as a Registered Representative;
  • Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course
  • Portfolio Manager designation required;
  • Experience with Investment Banking an asset;
  • Understanding of the Ultra High Net Worth segment as an investment specialization;
  • Strong understanding of technical analysis techniques, charting, and pattern recognition;
  • Must work effectively in a team environment to jointly service clients;

  • High attention to detail;
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel VBA and Adobe InDesign. Basic coding experience in large positive differentiator (VBA, HTML, PHP, SQL, Python, XML Scraping experience, JQuery/Java);
  • Familiarity with Dataphile, Thomson One / Refinitiv Workstation, Bloomberg, and EnvestNet portfolio management software is a plus;
