Description:

Have you got experience with children and hold an NNEB or NVQ level 3 equivalent qualification, are you looking for a new challenge? Come and join our team at Broomfield Hospital Paediatrics as a Band 4 Associate Practitioner.
This Band 4 Associate Practitioner is an exciting role, the successful applicant will be taught vital skills such as care of a child with a tracheostomy tube, venepuncture, cannulation, NG feeding and tube placement, wound closures, plastering and much more.
You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high standards of care to children and young people who present with medical and complex needs.
You will support with training and will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for specified children and young people in a dynamic Paediatric ward according to their individual needs.
You will work with the team flexibly across the children’s unit to create a caring and safe environment for children, young people and their families.
You will learn how to assess and recognise clinical deterioration in patients and report to the nurse/doctor in charge of their care by means of monitoring and recording the patient’s condition.
