This role will be in the Advanced Synthesis Platform and has been created specifically to support a growth project at the Visp site. It represents an exciting opportunity to be involved in the set-up and go live of a new facility, which will serve a diverse customer portfolio.
API Support for Early Phase Development | Lonza

Key responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development, implementation of procedures and processes in the Early Phase Expansion (short-term) .
  • Contributes to the set-up of new laboratories including URS (short-term)
  • Collects, summarizes, analyses data to prepare reports and makes presentations, as appropriate
  • Provides on-the-job training/support to new team members
  • Contributes to scientific field or technique by solving scientific problems within R&D.
  • Demonstrates scientific/technical leadership at project level.
  • May be involved in customer meetings and should develop customer relationships
  • Evaluates and implements trends and innovations in the area of expertise.
  • Supervises lab professionals

Key requirements:

  • You have completed a Bachelors degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering. A Masters degree is advantageous.
  • You have practical knowledge in the field of chemical process development and the implementation of basic analytical techniques such as HPLC and NMR.
  • You enjoy working in a chemical laboratory and are interested in laboratory automation and data analysis.
  • You have an independent, careful, and reliable way of working. You can work effectively in a team and enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation
  • Experience in GMP is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of English is necessary. German knowledge or willingness to learn German is required
