We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to support the plans and execution that drive the growth, profitability and attributes of our product lines. As a Trex Associate Product Manager, you will support and assist in the development and implementation of new products and line extensions to increase Trex market share. This role is key member of our Product Marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Product Manager(s) and Product Director in research efforts in the area of consumer needs/desires for various products.
  • Present and engage effectively with large groups of customers, both internal and external.
  • Review and understand competitive market to support new product or line extension opportunities, as well as fit with company strategic intent.
  • Identify and present product enhancement programs, such as appearance, performance, and packaging improvements. Evaluate quality standards as an advocate for voice of customer.
  • Potential to manage new or existing product lines to achieve growth and profitability targets, including SKU rationalization, cost-reduction initiatives and pricing actions as appropriate. Work with department management to support forecasting, service levels, and completion of day-to-day management/communication with other departments.
  • Support daily activities on new product launches, product line maintenance, and commercialization efforts for the product team in all categories to drive overall business growth.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain in order to understand outsourced opportunities & products. This includes exercises related to make vs buy analysis as well as supporting any efforts to identify dual or additional source opportunities.
  • Maintain demonstrated knowledge of competitive product offerings, analyze points of weakness or opportunity, and recommend Trex response to threats as necessary.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen to support, present and enhance product line profitability, both in terms of costs and spending, to achieve P&L goals.
  • Analyze, provide reports and understand of various forms of data, including quality specifications, competitive pricing landscape, SKU level data, Marketing-related IT projects, category trends, etc.
