Position Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the Private Credit product marketing strategy distributed through Ares Wealth Management Solutions. This position will be responsible for partnering with the Marketing Team, Product Management Team, Internal and External Wholesale teams, Investments, and key stakeholders to create and maintain compelling product stories, presentations, sales ideas, and product collateral. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced culture has a thorough understanding of the market and investment products, along with marketing strategy. The successful candidate will be able to take broad direction, create and execute on specific marketing tactics drawing on expertise and resources across the firm. The ability to creatively take complex investment concepts and distill them into clear, simple and client centered content is a must.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute on marketing strategy for assigned product sets
  • Work with the VP of Product Marketing to design product-specific marketing strategies that produce coordinated, efficient and measurable campaigns that drive business objectives
  • Create and maintain production of product marketing content (e.g. webpages, presentations, sales aids, videos, product brochures, quarterly updates)
  • Work in lock-step with Product Management to support product messaging, marketing activity and sales support
  • Collaborate closely with investments, sales, design, compliance, and the rest of the marketing team to produce high quality and effective marketing materials
  • Interface with designers, other marketing team members, as well as internal clients to create and deliver of sophisticated, brand compliant projects
  • Partner with marketing team to influence a distribution strategy for product content including email, web, print, live events, etc.
  • Govern consistency of master product messaging and data reporting across product marketing materials and webpages
  • Research and understand competitors to enhance knowledge and incorporate industry best practices into our strategy and materials
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Investment product knowledge and story building expertise required
  • Ability to write, draft and create original content
  • Exceptional project management skills, detail-oriented and willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute
  • Flexible, responsive, and customer-focused to deal with changing priorities, meet deadlines and build customer confidence
  • Multiple vehicle (Mutual funds, real estate investment products, ETFs, etc.) marketing experience highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products and competitive environment
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills to deal with multiple internal and external clients, vendors and marketing team members on a daily basis
  • B2B marketing experience, including direct contact with salesforce and in-depth knowledge of the sales process required
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and InCopy

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product marketing or similar function
  • Strong understanding of the financial marketplace and distribution process is required
  • Ability to handle busy workflow with composure and competence essential
  • Familiarity with a variety of marketing concepts, practices, and procedures important
  • Experience working with compliance and regulatory guidance to ensure compliant collateral is desired
  • Financial Services Industry experience preferred
  • Experience with project management systems and software is a plus

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$100,000 - $125,000
