Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The postholder will lead their own in research in psychiatry of child and adolescent psychiatry and promote collaboration across disciplinary boundaries within UCL. The postholder is expected to attract, mentor and support clinical and non-clinical early career researchers. The postholder will be expected to contribute to the overall scientific mission of UCL, working with colleagues across psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience and beyond. The post will include specialist teaching duties on postgraduate non-clinical and professional courses and the supervision of research students and junior staff. There is extensive IT and professional support for teaching within UCL.
The postholder will have an honorary consultant psychiatrist appointment with North London NHS Foundation Trust with four clinical sessions in addition to four academic sessions in UCL. This is a new post available on an open-ended basis. The post is offered part time (0.8 FTE / 8 PAs) and on the Clinical Consultant Academic pay scale which ranges from £105,504 - £139,882 according to seniority, plus £2,162 London Weighting allowance (pro-rata).
