Description:

Overview:
Do you have the ability to make a project come together from an idea through completion? We are hiring an Associate Project Manager. Our Land Advisory team specializes in farmland capital improvements - designing, facilitating, and managing solutions for our our clients. We oversee a variety of management responsibilities associated with large scale agricultural drainage, irrigation, and earthmoving projects. We are also involved in assisting farmers in conservation and environmental programs.
Pinion is the leading food and ag advisory and accounting firm, committed to innovation, growth, and exceptional client service. Consider becoming part of our culture, where we encourage employees to apply their distinct abilities in meaningful and impactful ways.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

Associate Project Managers are involved in all phases of our operation while being assigned primarily to our Senior Project Manager and internal operations departments. If selected, you will be given the opportunity to learn all facets of agricultural drainage projects, as well as assist with the facilitation of a variety of civil engineering projects and assist clients with conservation efforts. You will deliver projects to successful completion in alignment with strategic and operational goals through planning, coordinating, and managing enterprise resources to achieve desired project outcomes. Associate Project Managers also serve as a liaison between clients and the rest of the project team. If something goes wrong in operational activities for a project, you are often the first person consulted for advice.
When it comes to leadership within the Land Advisory team the Associate Project Manager will be responsible for the prospecting, development, design, and implementation of NRCS, not-for-profit, and privately funded agricultural capital improvement projects and interaction with TSP’s. Having a pulse on the entire portfolio will be a key to your successful management of the program.
We are looking for a team member who is naturally gifted in identifying problems, offering best possible solutions, and deciding if the problem needs to be brought to the Senior Project Manager’s attention. In this role, you will work with our internal team and external stakeholders to develop and execute project work plans. You will also provide guidance to staff as needed on large, complex, and highly visible or unusual projects.
As you prepare project plans with common Microsoft-based and CAD-based tools, you will identify project risks/issues and carry out studies to identify ways of reducing or solving the issues. When it comes to managing project scope, you will ensure initial and ongoing alignment with sponsors and stakeholders. You will also facilitate regular meetings, following up on tasks/issues, and transferring important information to senior management.
