Description:

Following our continued success in securing new and interesting projects with the government, we have an exciting opportunity for a Associate Project Manager with a background in public sector and central government projects.
Reporting directly to our Director for Project Management, you will be responsible for managing projects of national importance working closely with our client, stakeholders and colleagues from other Tetra Tech disciplines.
This role can be based from any of our midlands, or northern, offices.

We are seeking a passionate, high performing Principal / Associate who can demonstrate a flexible skillset:

  • A leader with the ability to empower and inspire others to deliver successful outcomes
  • A collaborative team manager who will work with the whole project team to develop objectives and agree ways of working
  • Experienced in managing NEC 3/4 contracts ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract
  • Capable of managing design teams and the design process against agreed delivery timescales
  • Monitors progress against the schedule, managing resources against the baseline and identifies variances that require action
  • Monitors financial performance throughout the project / programme and prepares reports for stakeholders
  • Preparation of the Risk Management plan and process to identify threats and opportunities, assessing the impacts to develop suitable response plans
  • Manages the consistent application of quality assurance processes and standards
  • Able to establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governance
  • Develops and disseminates a stakeholder management and communications plan to meet the objectives of the project / programme.
  • Establish and manage review points, which will inform governance and provide evaluations of progress.
  • Manage the change control process in line with the contract conditions.
  • The ability to prepare, refine and update business cases.
  • The ability to define, evaluate, track and realise the business benefits of project / programme
