Description:

Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment specialist recruiting Allied Health Professionals of all bands and specialties for long and short-term locum roles throughout the UK and Ireland.
Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with qualified Associate and PWP Psychologists to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland. As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Trust for Associate Psychologists to work within a range of Psychology Services and in particular, with the Occupational Health department.
This is a band 5 role so essential to have some experience of working in mental health settings, such as community mental health or other specialist services. It would also be desirable to have experience supporting staff or employees with their mental health, assisting returns to work, or having worked within an occupational health setting. In addition, ideally to have experience of working within an MDT, experience of providing mental health assessments and report writing to a good level. IT skills are a necessity.
This locum post will require cover 4 days per week (hybrid and expected to work from home 1-2 days) with a duration of 6 months initially. Salary starting from £16.28 for the first 12 weeks and increasing to £16.94 thereafter for PAYE.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • First or Upper Second Honours degree or other higher degree in psychology (BPS Accredited). Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Master’s level psychology or therapy qualification
  • Essential UK experience of working in mental health settings, such as community mental health or other specialist services & experience of working within an MDT, experience of providing mental health assessments and report writing to a good level
  • One year or more experience of administering a range of psychological interventions within an paid Assistant/Associate Psychologist role in the UK
  • Desirable experience supporting staff or employees with their mental health, assisting returns to work, or having worked within an occupational health setting.
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Full UK Drivers License and access to a car
