Description:

We are seeking an Associate, Purchasing to support the purchasing and procurement activities for Aspect Biosystems. You will be a key support for our research and operation teams, ensuring our facility runs smoothly and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work closely with Engineer and Scientist to develop groundbreaking bioprinted tissue therapeutics that have the potential to revolutionize disease treatment.

Qualifications

  • Education + Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. 1-2 years of experience working in a biotech or life sciences company is highly desirable
  • Professional Experience: Experience with handling and transporting dangerous goods is preferred, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification is considered an asset.
  • Computer Skills: You have advanced MS Excel Skills and knowledge or procurement software, preferably NetSuite, familiar with SmartSheets, Google sheets etc

Responsibilities:

  • Support purchase order processing and procurement activities for the organization.
  • Create and maintain database entries, including purchase order, vendor and item creation in the ERP system.
  • Handle order fulfillment and manage packaging materials and supplies, ensuring effective communication with customers.
  • Coordinate transportation and shipping activities, including scheduling and tracking outbound shipments to customers and research partners.
  • Ensure deliveries are addressed with timeliness and accuracy. Coordinate with shipper and receiver to make sure packages are distributed to departments or stored according to product specifications.
  • Maintain updated records and documentation related to purchases, shipments, and receipts.
  • Assist accounting department with invoice reconciliation.
  • Occasionally assist in shipping and receiving.

The hiring range for this role is $45,100 - $53,000, annually. Our ranges are based on market data. Offered salaries will be based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. For candidates who exceed role requirements, we are open to exploring above-range offers. Note that base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Aspect.
