Associate Registrar – Institutional Statistical Data Analyst
Regina Campus
Full Time term position (Term will end October 15, 2025)

The Associate Registrar reports to the Registrar and is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, driving efficiency, and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives. The Associate Registrar will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making within the institution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/experience
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in mathematics, statistics, data science or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience. Must have two (2) years’ experience working in a post-secondary environment and registrar office experience is an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working experience with Word, Excel, Access, Intranet, Internet, etc.
  • Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements
  • Knowledge of academic regulations
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare detailed reports on a timely basis
  • Skill in performing detailed numerical computations
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision when required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work loads and attention to detail highly desired

Salary Range: APT Salary – Pay Grade 6 ($70,588 - $95,084)

Responsibilities:

  • Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain and update databases and data systems.
  • Use statistical techniques to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Generate reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings.
  • Provide data insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with University of Regina Office of Institutional Research data analysts on cross-functional projects.
  • Conduct data validation and quality assurance to ensure data integrity.
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing excel reports, printouts, and performance indicators.
  • Ensure FNUniv enrolment and statistical data are accurate for tuition fee share verification process
  • Administrator of UofR Footprint Program, granting staff access to software applications like Novell/Email, UR Courses, CASPUR, BANNER, BANNER Workflow, URDocs, DCU, Degree Audit, FAST, DOME, SLATE and more. This comprises of support personnel, faculty members, and sessionals.
  • Liaison with University of Regina Human Resource Support to set up a new employee identity number for software access and BANNER system.
  • Coordinates with University of Regina Registrar’s Office to set up new instructor access to BANNER and DOME each term.
  • Grants access to current FNUniv workers who use BANNER annually in June and BANNER Security Audit in April; workers must submit Footprint tickets to the UofR IT Support Centre to maintain access.
