WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
DECIEM is seeking an Associate to join the Regulatory Affairs Product Compliance team. This is an entry level position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all elements of ensuring that the product and general scientific claims released by DECIEM are accurate, truthful, and compliant. The associate will primarily be responsible for the identification, summary, and review of data relating to the efficacy of DECIEM’s products. As an integral member of DECIEM’s Regulatory Affairs team, the associate will be provided with opportunities for training in the regulatory affairs activities and grow to support regulatory activities for cosmetics, natural health products, industrial chemicals, and other areas as needed.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Bachelor’s degree in a science field is required
- Passionate about working in regulatory affairs within the cosmetic industry
- Strong research skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills as well as strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Responsibilities:
- Support new product formulations and conduct substantiation research
- Conduct literature search to identify data substantiating the efficacy of new substances of interest to DECIEM
- Critically review and assess literature and manufacturer data for substances
- Author substantiation documents for claims development
- Collect and summarize documentation needed to support product registrations in emerging markets
- Monitor any changes in the regulatory landscape to ensure that DECIEM’s product claims are compliant with current standards for print, television, social media, and all other advertising mediums
- Develop responses for frequent customer inquiries
- Support document creation for new market registrations
