QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A bachelor’s degree in public policy, international relations, finance or a related field a plus
- Highly skilled with respect to Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- PowerPoint skills are imperative to success in this role!
- Team player and proactive individual contributor
- This role requires adept project management. Being proactive is a key requirement
- Advanced workstream management skills including issue tracking and timely delivery of multiple projects at the same time
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking, presentation drafting and delivery, and meeting leadership
- Travel is required approximately 3-5 times per year
- Detail-orientated with strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and use business judgment
- Ability to work in a high energy environment and independently design and complete projects as well as collaborate with and support senior management
- Flexibility and responsiveness to shifting business imperatives

Responsibilities:
- Lead in tracking, understanding and summarizing proposed legislation and regulations impacting the insurance industry generally and Global Atlantic specifically
- Lead deck development, drafting briefs, crafting talking points, conducting research and synthesizing complex information for senior executives
- Drafting RGA publications including, but not limited to the RGA Biweekly Dispatch and Quarterly Beltway Bulletin
- Attend and internally publish minutes from trade association meetings, law firm educational sessions, calls with regulatory consultants and the GA’s bipartisan lobbying firm
- Other activities as assigned
