Description:
GentiBio is seeking a collaborative and motivated Associate Scientist I/II Contractor to join our Discovery team in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will design, optimize and execute in vivo studies to characterize engineered T regulatory (EngTreg) cells to support our early-stage programs. This role offers exposure to leadership and an exciting opportunity to be a high-impact trailblazer in the emerging field of regulatory T-cell therapy.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- BS or MS in related field with 2+ years of relevant industry or academic experience.
- Confident with the routine handling of animals and experience with mouse models and techniques is a must (e.g. tail vein or intraperitoneal injection)
- Experienced in or willing to learn primary cell culture, flow cytometry, and ELISA
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to execute experiments with rigor and maintain clear and complete records of lab work
- Evidence of critical thinking and the ability to devise a plan beyond the immediate experiment
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills with the ability to embrace change and multitask in a fast-growing environment

Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively design and implement murine models of inflammatory and autoimmune disease for the testing of EngTregs
- Independently dose, closely monitor, and care for animals in experimental studies
- Perform terminal evaluations of murine experiments, including tissue digestion, histology preparation, multicolor flow cytometry, and ELISA
- Track and compile results in an electronic notebook
- Contribute to editing (e.g., CRISPR and viral transduction) and culture EngTregs in vitro from primary cells
- Support the evaluation of phenotype and functionality of CAR EngTreg cell constructs by a variety of assays using multicolor flow cytometry
- Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, Flowjo, and ELN for data entry, analysis, and presentation
- Communicate and present findings to scientific team and management
- Foster the culture of seeking and giving help, inclusion, authenticity, and fun
