Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Brisbane Corporate Advisory and M&A team. Offering exposure to a broad range of clients, industries, national and international organisations, you will work with market leading partners and talented, collaborative practitioners.
We are looking for someone who has 4-6 years experience, with broad experience across M&A, capital market transactions, commercial agreement negotiations and general corporate advisory. In addition, you will have knowledge of the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules. You are someone who can support other practitioners, can work collaboratively with other areas of practice to drive and co-ordinate deals, and is confident to consult with other subject matter experts.

As our new Associate / Senior Associate, you can expect to regularly:

  • provide support and advise on the spectrum of equity capital market transactions including initial public offerings; demergers and secondary raisings;
  • provide support and advise on mergers, acquisitions and takeover activities including undertaking due diligence relating to transactions, negotiation and preparation of related transaction documents (such as merger implementation agreements; takeover materials and share sale agreements); and
  • assist public listed companies in respect of matters such as the preparation of materials to convene General Meetings, liaising with the ASX and ASIC in respect of such materials, and compliance with the ASX Listing Rules including continuous disclosure obligations;
  • provide support and advise on corporate advice in respect of corporate governance issues for listed, unlisted and private companies
  • be provided with mentoring and guidance from experienced practitioners as well as supporting other junior practitioners in the team.
