Job Description
We have one of the world’s leading litigation and dispute resolution practices specialising in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory investigations around the globe. Our team in Australia is one of the country’s leading litigation and dispute resolution teams and has overseen many of the most complex corporate cases and arbitrations in the market in recent years. We have extensive experience across all major dispute resolution disciplines including, but not limited to, anti-corruption, arbitration, banking litigation, fraud, class actions, insolvency and restructuring and projects and construction disputes.
Qualifications
We are seeking a 1 - 5 years’ PQE (on UK scale), Australian qualified junior lawyer to join our L&DR practice in Sydney, to be successful in this role:
- You should have a background in commercial litigation and shareholder disputes. Ideally with experience advising financial institutions, banks, companies, and insolvency practitioners. Contentious regulatory and investigations experience is also highly desirable.
- You must have the ability to work across borders to deliver local expertise and the latest industry know-how to our clients.
- You have outstanding academic history and proven first-rate legal skills, combined with a strong industry reputation, excellent transactional and management skills.
- You will enjoy working in a busy and demanding team environment and have had experience working with specialists across multiple practice groups. You will display a considerable appetite for business development, client relationship management and other commercial activities.
- You will have a strong commitment to continuing your own professional development and be passionate about coaching and mentoring your team members who will look to you for guidance and direction
