Pager Health seeking an Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of applications so we can deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and test application performance, capacity, and system health to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Participate in incident response on-call rotations
  • Develop, document, and implement incident response handling procedures to reduce time and resources needed to handle an incident
  • Conduct post-mortems for incidents to analyze root causes and implement preventive measures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with diverse teams to enhance system performance, scalability, stability, and provide technical guidance in troubleshooting issues
  • Develop best practices and collaborate with teams to implement and follow for security, monitoring, and disaster recovery
  • Automate and streamline operational processes and tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role (DevOps, Solution Architect, Software Engineer)
  • Strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to think calmly and critically in high-pressure situations
  • Solid understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Experience with automating operational processes and infrastructure management
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
  • Experience with APM tools for monitoring and optimizing application performance

For Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC.
