Associate Software Development Engineer

Your Challenge:

  • Develop intuitive software features to aid lightly trained users in managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, phone systems), in tactical environments
  • Develop APIs using multiple interfaces
  • Write robust code in an object-oriented environment
  • Work closely with senior software engineers, network engineers and integration/QA teams
  • Perform code reviews to collaborate and learn with team members
  • Assist in writing help and technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot system and software problems
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong familiarity with a modern software language (C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented software design patterns
  • Familiarity with regular expressions and parsing libraries
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machines (VMWare) highly desirable
  • Familiarity with UI design desirable
  • Some software engineering industry experience desirable
  • Some experience with C#, .NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio desirable
  • Familiarity with security concepts desirable
  • Strong communication/documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Eagerness to learn and grow, and to work with some world-class engineers
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
