As a member of the Platform Engineering team, the Associate Software Engineer is responsible for the development, and maintenance of cloud-based production platforms that enable secure integration between systems. This role will be responsible for developing highly scalable and efficient platform solutions, related to Events and Identity, and will work closely with the Platform Services Engineering Team Lead to ensure the success of the function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly talented team of Engineers to grow and develop your skillset.

As our Assosciate Software Engineer, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Effectively deliver on requirements, ensuring the agreed outcomes are achieved within determined timeframes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and maintain platform solutions that are resilient, scalable and secure
  • Contribute to the design and management of cloud infrastructures through CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Implement best practices for Continuous Delivery, including automated testing (BDD, TDD), build and deployment pipelines and observability, contributing to a culture of DevOps.
  • Assist with technical problem solving and provide technical guidance to other engineers and team across the organisation
  • Work to maintain the quality and security of all code bases
  • Prioritise work in order to accomplish the most important and urgent tasks first
  • Maintain a constant growth and learning mindset to become familiar with the breadth of the cloud environment
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for improvements
  • Work in alignment with Pepperstone’s values
