WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for innovative an Associate Software Support Engineer with a passion for finding meaningful patterns and performing in-depth analysis of our software product, databases, and processes. A highly analytical problem solver that has excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, as well as Java and SQL expertise with a penchant for driving solutions into action. We are on our mission to optimize diagnostic healthcare costs and outcomes through data, analysis and optimized processes.

WHAT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or other technical degree
  • 1-2 years of experience as a software engineer in a support environment or college-level course work and projects using Java and SQL
  • Proficiency in Java and SQL is required
  • Familiarity with using revision control applications, preferably JIRA and Bitbucket
  • Demonstrated excellent problem analysis and solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams of software engineers, domain experts, and others to improve our product features
  • Monitor and resolve Support cases and provide prompt resolution and/or corrective action
  • Perform root cause analysis to recommend both short-term and long-term corrective and preventive action
  • Write database scripts to resolve data related customer reported issues
  • Work with the engineering department to improve quality, efficiency, testability, and maintainability of code base, and identify opportunities for process improvement, as well as involvement in implementation of identified process improvements
    This is an onsite position at our office in San Diego, CA.
