Description:
We are looking for an Associate Specialist in Substance Use to join our Drug & Alcohol Team on the beautiful Isle of Man, where we are aiming to become the world’s best small Island-based health and care system.
If you would like to achieve a fantastic work-life balance with a professionally satisfying job, then this could be the role for you.
Responsibilities:
The Drug and Alcohol Team (DAT) provides an Island-wide service to residents of the Isle of Man, of any age, struggling with substance dependency. Our patient population varies between 350-400 at any given time, with an average of 19 referrals per month. Amongst the services we offer to patients in our care are community alcohol detoxes, opioid replacement therapies, maintenance and drug detoxes. We also work closely with Tier 2 colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to care.
In this role you will work collaboratively with a dynamic and cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team of clinicians, trained in many different disciplines and genres. You will also run outpatient clinics at a variety of locations across the Island, to meet and assess both new and existing patients. In addition to community-based clinics, we also offer clinic support to patients at the Isle of Man Prison, and in a needs-led fashion, a Pregnancy Support Clinic.
This role is based overarchingly within Integrated Mental Health Services, with clinical supervision and peer support available ongoingly. If you feel this may be the role for you, please contact us for an informal chat and more information.
