Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We are seeking an Associate to join the team to assist with both new to bank transactions and in managing the existing client base. The key components of this role will involve the completion of daily operational tasks and portfolio reporting, preparation of internal approval submission, liaising with customers and supporting the team on new transactions or amendments to existing programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in day-to-day management of the Structured Finance portfolio and customers.
- Timely and accurate portfolio reporting to meet compliance and regulatory obligations.
- Ensuring key processes are run efficiently to support the team’s business growth and control procedures.
- The role will provide a pathway to develop credit skills required for completion of credit papers for new transactions or amendments to existing programmes.
- Liaise with customers, Relationship Managers, internal/external legal counsel, financial markets and other parts of the bank.
- Assist the team in the origination and execution of transactions, including bank funded and capital markets bond issues.
- Prepare financial models relevant for each transaction
Each transaction is unique. Accordingly, the successful applicant will be exposed to a broad range of varied securitisation and structured finance transactions where innovation is actively encouraged. This is a rare and unique entry point into the fields of Securitisation and Structured Finance.

- Minimum tertiary education to Bachelors level with a proven interest in accounting, finance, law, the sciences or other critical thinking based subject.
- Sound administration and analytical skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Financially numerate with competence in Excel and the ability to develop financial model/modelling skills
- Credit knowledge advantageous but not essential
