Description:
Title: Associate Teacher Grades K-5
Department: Junior School
Reports to: Junior School Principal
Interfaces with: Students, teachers, and the entire school community
Terms: Temporary contract, with the possibility for permanent employment
Start date: As soon as possible
End Date: June 13, 2025
Salary Range: $53,234 - $57,765
We are seeking an energetic, creative, compassionate, and positive individual who is passionate about working with children.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a BC teacher certification prior to starting in the role
- A university degree with a teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation program
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with neuro-diverse students, behaviour management, OG experience, IB experience and/or training
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor of Education and valid TRB certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Computer Literacy: computer literate with experience with G Suite
- All ATs will be trained in First Aid if they are not currently qualified
