Overview:
This position is responsible for testing and evaluation for special engineering projects, development of specialized/automated test equipment, and forensic engineering. This will be part of the dynamic development of the next generation of new electrical products and the equipment needed to evaluate them.
Responsibilities:
- Perform specialized and long-term testing and research projects
- Design, develop, construct test equipment including automating processes to increase efficiency
- Write, Modify, and test code and scripts to develop and improve equipment
- Provide litigation support in the form of evidence analysis and cause and effect testing of exemplar devices
- Perform safety inspections and testing on Leviton merchandise displays
- Assist Test Lab supervisor as required
- Provide instruction to test technicians in proper test procedures and safety
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential in the optimum performance of this position
- Knowledge/ability of machining processes including mill and lathe
- Mechanical, electrical, and software (for automation) aptitude
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, engineering science)
- 0-3 years experience in product and materials test engineering
