Overview:
This position is responsible for testing and evaluation for special engineering projects, development of specialized/automated test equipment, and forensic engineering. This will be part of the dynamic development of the next generation of new electrical products and the equipment needed to evaluate them.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform specialized and long-term testing and research projects
  • Design, develop, construct test equipment including automating processes to increase efficiency
  • Write, Modify, and test code and scripts to develop and improve equipment
  • Provide litigation support in the form of evidence analysis and cause and effect testing of exemplar devices
  • Perform safety inspections and testing on Leviton merchandise displays
  • Assist Test Lab supervisor as required
  • Provide instruction to test technicians in proper test procedures and safety

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential in the optimum performance of this position
  • Knowledge/ability of machining processes including mill and lathe
  • Mechanical, electrical, and software (for automation) aptitude

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, engineering science)
  • 0-3 years experience in product and materials test engineering
