Position Summary
White & Case in Helsinki is recruiting twp law students who have completed the majority of their studies to work as trainees during the terms starting in May 2025. The trainee positions are full-time. Our trainee program offers law students an opportunity to gain experience and training in a global law firm. Associate trainees work across our three core practice areas: Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Debt Finance, and also on Competition law matters. Typical assignments for trainees include legal research, legal translation, dealing with various governmental authorities, supporting in due diligence processes, as well as drafting various transaction documents, memoranda and minutes. Our trainees work closely with our lawyers based in Helsinki and other White & Case offices and have full access to our internal trainings.
Duties1
White & Case offers law students a possibility to gain experience and training in an international law firm through our trainee program. Typical assignments for our trainees include:
- Legal research
- Legal translating
- Dealing with various governmental authorities
- Preparing and assisting with maintaining data rooms related to various transactions
- Drafting agreements, memoranda and minutes
Our trainee program is a full-time position. Law students interested in the trainee position should have finished the majority of their studies to maximize their benefit from the program.
Qualifications
We want to recruit trainees with energy and enthusiasm - individuals who show initiative, adaptability and have the ability to work in teams but are not afraid of individual responsibility. We expect great communication and language skills from our trainees.
