The ideal Associate UX Writer candidate is obsessed with creating a better user experience through clear, concise communication. They are eager to learn, not afraid to fail, and thrive in collaborative environments. Candidates should feel confident and comfortable running solo on projects and working with design partners.
This role reports to the Creative Director in Austin, TX and will play a critical role in the application of brand voice to YETI’s customer journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage data and insights to identify content and copy improvements on YETI.com
  • Write iteratively to create clear, engaging copy for user flows to drive conversion
  • Shine in short-form copy and create compelling long-form copy for product detail pages, gear guides, and FAQs
  • Become an expert in the YETI style guide to thoroughly understand every element of the site.
  • Be a steward of and maintain the YETI brand voice and guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to determine the strategic direction for customer-facing copy that aids in the presentation and discovery of YETI products
  • Translate creative direction and story points from creative briefs and identify opportunities to uplift copy with compelling messaging
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus with the team
  • Must be a team player, able to work within design sprints on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of UX design principles
  • Willingness to learn, fail, and hone your craft
  • Experience with consumer product brands is preferred
  • Experience in digital marketing/advertising is a plus
  • You can quickly grasp the brand voice and bring it to life
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems and navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to present and rationalize your work
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in writing and overall craft
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills including accuracy and attention to detail
  • You know how to deliver the best idea and understand the nuances of each communication channel and platform
  • Optimistic, energetic, and possesses the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Location: On-site three days a week in Austin, TX. Office located off Southwest Parkway.
